Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston placed Angelica Hale on ECMO assistance for lifesaving treatments. The patient became septic and suffered numerous organ failures, which included her kidneys which did not recover. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis was her new norm. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica appeared to be dying but was on the road towards recovery. Angelica was on dialysis for over a decade half years before receiving an organ transplant. Angelica would be receiving the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica Hale had a successful kidney transplant together with her mother on 13th of September, 2013. The procedure was conducted in Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's desire to become a superstar has never wavered.
